Kijkduin

Last week a friend of mine, Danielle, came to visit. She is from our church in Zwolle and dating a guy that lives here in Rijswijk.. after a day of shopping we met the guys for dinner and then headed over to Kijkduin, a beach near here. It was gorgeous weather and we got there right at sunset so I couldn't resist taking some pictures!

France, Paris!

Here are some more pictures of our trip to France... mostly from the time we spent in Paris!

we got day cards and used the metro..
which was so easy and  the perfect way to get around!

when we are traveling we always try to get advice from locals on where to eat...
a guy walking his dog suggested this place and I am so glad he did! the food was amazing
and we loved the outdoor tables! I would highly recommend it! 

ok. lets talk. this salad was amazing. i mean... so, SO good!
i am going to try to recreate it and will let you know how it goes...

France, Day 1

I feel so spoiled that Desmond and I were able to get away for a couple days to France! We really lucked out with perfect weather and were able to do a lot in a short time! and we took a lotttt of pictures... so I decided to break them up into a couple of posts! Here are some from the trip and the first evening when we visited Caen and the coast...

...and we only got lost once! not too bad I think :)

we left really early.. but then we got to watch the sun rise!
