Bedroom Before

When I last posted.. (really.. September.. *cough, cough*.. moving on) I had mentioned that Des and I were starting a bedroom makeover...
we hit ikea.. we got a new bedspread.. and curtains.. and fun stuff..
AND here we are 3 months later still somewhere between the before and after. :)

We have made some progress but along the way (when we found out baby was coming and we would be staying here for a while) we decided to do more than just spruce up. So in the next couple weeks Des will be painting (when I'm away for a couple nights) and we will rearrange all the furniture so that a crib and other baby things will fit..

the room is very small and so we are going to have to be creative to figure out how to fit everything and get some more storage..
we aren't done yet but we are excited to see how it will turn out! So for now some before pics :)
(because the room is so small its hard to get good pictures of.. there is also a dresser at the foot of the bed.. but i can't seem to find any pictures with that in them)

the bed.. this picture is taken from the doorway..

we got this for just 20 euros and until now it was the place for all my "stuff"

my nightstand.. i don't have any pics of des's..
well.. because its boring :)

the view from our window

the bookshelf Des made

mirror that hangs across from the foot of the bed..
and you can just catch a glimpse of Des's closet and the door to the bedroom..

my wonderful paint skills at work.. to try and show the layout..
the black lines are where junk seems to accumulate :)

So there you have the official before.. progress and hopefully an after to come..
xoxo Carly

    1. yeah, you should! We are lucky to live like 10 min from one but it can also be really dangerous :)
